Dr Kylie Arthur – Chiropractor. BChiro

Northern Beaches Spine Care, Bucasia QLD

Hi! I am Dr Kylie. I grew up in a small town in the South Island of New Zealand before moving to Auckland to study at the New Zealand College of Chiropractic. After working in Taupo for a year, my partner and I made the big move to Australia and I have been loving helping our community at Northern Beaches Spine Care since.

During all appointments with my patients I take the time to listen to their concerns and health goals, to find the best way to support them moving forward. With chiropractic care and the right education I have seen many patients improve their health in ways they didn’t think were possible. I truly believe when given the right support the body has the natural ability to heal itself and thrive. In practice I enjoy taking a holistic approach to address the root cause of what may be limiting people from achieving their optimal potential.

I first got into chiropractic after suffering from daily headaches as a young teenager. I experienced first hand the benefits of  regular chiropractic care on not only my headaches but also my overall quality of life. From then I instantly knew this was a profession I wanted to pursue, so I could help others improve their health also.

I am proficient in a variety of different chiropractic techniques to ensure that there's a way to help everyone of all ages. Some of these techniques include; Diversified (manual adjustments), Activator, Drop-table, Webster's technique, Sacro-occipital technique (SOT), trigger point therapy and upper cervical specific. I love seeing families of all ages and have a strong passion for adjusting infants and children. I have seen the importance of supporting children’s developing spines and nervous systems as they grow. Chiropractic care is a great way to help you and your family to thrive in all aspects of life, by focusing on the health of your spine and nervous system.

When not in practice you can find me outdoors, water skiing, swimming, doing pilates or at the gym.

I look forward to helping you along your health journey to reach your goals!

Dr. Carrie McDowall - Chiropractor. Bsc Chiro. M clin Chiro

Mackay Spine Care, Mackay QLD

Hi, my name is Dr. Carrie McDowall,

I am the eldest daughter of 5 where we all happily grew up on a large, beautiful farm with many different types of livestock surrounded by green pastures and over 70 Appaloosa’s outside of Canberra.

When I was about 8 years old tragedy struck my family where my mother was debilitated by a falling hay bale while cleaning the loafing shed which fractured her pelvis where medical doctors acknowledged that “she would not be able to ride horses again”. She was heavily sedated from prescribed pain killers due to the intense agonizing pain she endured rendering her incapacitated to perform motherly, wife and farm duties putting a strain on my family at that time.

My father, who is a second-generation chiropractor who graduated in the 70’s from Palmer Chiropractic College in the USA, like my grandfather before him was able to help her through chiropractic care where after a time she was able to function without suffering from constant pain and was no longer taking pain killers and was even able to continue her passion of competing in horse riding shows winning a trailer load of trophies up until this day.

Witnessing this miracle and seeing other countless similar acts while visiting my fathers office seeing the profound life changing effect my father had on his patients deeply resonated with me with a burning passion that my life purpose was to one day become a third generation chiropractor with a mission to aspire to be more to my local community by providing holistic chiropractic care for my patients where no other intervention has worked similarly to how my mother was affected where she can continue her passion of horse riding and is living pain free today.

In 2007, I moved to QLD and raised a beautiful family of 5 where in 2016 I was offered the opportunity of enrolling in a 5-year Chiropractic course that was recently available from Central Queensland University (CQU) while working at my massage business I owned in Brisbane. After 5-years of learning, studying, exams and making new friends I graduated in 2021 with a Master of Chiropractic with Distinction and a Bachelor of Chiropractic Science in 2019.

Over the years I looked at different types of chiropractic techniques to further broaden my knowledge and interest that include; Applied Kinesiology, Thompson technique, ABC technique and diversified manual adjusting, I was fortunate enough to discover Blair technique which is an upper cervical specific chiropractic technique that focuses on specific adjustments delivered at C1 and C2, which  can bring lasting change to patients.

I am very fortunate and grateful to have the opportunity to provide chiropractic care to the wonderful residents in the farming area of Mackay and the Whitsundays and I look forward to providing not only care but compassion and changes to my community just as I witnessed my father do so as a little girl for my mother and countless many others
